Tuesday saw us off to another early start. Robin picked us up and we headed to the Hollywood studios. Once the park opened we headed straight to the Toystory ride, which is so much fun! we rode it twice before the crowds built up, and its amazing how quickly they do at the popular rides!! Once again the park was busy, but we did all the rides we wanted like Star Tours and the Great movie Ride and also saw the great shows - Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, Muppet Vision 4D, Lights Motors Action etc. One of the staff told us that partly the crowds were due to the terrible weather further north, apparently a lot of people had headed south to the sunshine. I am amazed they could flights!!
Lunch was fun, our first visit to the Primetime Diner. It was just like sitting in someones kitchen in the 1950's! Once seated you're introduced to your 'cousin' who'll be looking after you, a very quaint idea!! Paul was hoping to get 'told off' by the waitress, (aka - our cousin!!) apparently they are known for telling people to get their elbows off the table etc. Paul escaped the wrath of our waitress, but someone across the room got told to put their cell phone away! In keeping with the era I had the meatloaf....lovely! For dessert Paul and I shared some s'mores - mostly cause I wanted to know what they were like. They were very sweet and sticky, and thank goodness we only ordered one serving!! I have often heard people on TV mention them. Like a lot of places, it wasn't the cheapest but the atmosphere was fun and I am glad we got the chance to visit.
With Robin as my personal shopper (she's very good at it!) i found some lovely things to bring home - a beautiful Belle scarf and a music box. The Disney shops are just so full of fabulous things. After leaving the park we headed to Bahama Breeze for dinner, you just can't beat the empanadas and sliders! And as a treat we shared some key lime pie, oh my goodness the desserts are huge! But it would have been rude not to try some whilst in Florida. For anyone who's never been to Bahama Breeze, you gotta try it!!
